MATERIAL INFORMATION

Regarding the information that has been circulating in the news media yesterday, Avianca Holdings S.A. (the “Company” or “AVH”) informs:

As the Company communicated as material information on March 7, 2017, neither AVH nor any of its subsidiaries has an equity interest in the airline Avian Líneas Aéreas S.A. (“Avian”) (formerly known as Macair Jet S.A.).

In addition, we inform that none of the airlines integrated in AVH has any routes to the interior of the Republic of Argentina and, although Avianca S.A. has subscribed with Avian a Brand License Agreement for the use of the Avianca brand within the Argentine territory, the operation of Avian is totally separate and independent of AVH and its integrated airlines.

AVH informs that Avianca S.A. maintains its Bogotá-Buenos Aires-Bogotá itinerary flight without any modification or alteration, and the decision taken by the Argentine Government regarding the postponement of the operating permits of Avian has no impact on the operation of the issuer.
