Petrel Resources plc
("Petrel" or "the Company")
Result of Annual General Meeting
At the Petrel Resources plc Annual General Meeting, held on 30th July 2025 in the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham, 23 O'Connell Street Upper, Dublin 1, D01 C3W7 at 12.00 pm, all the resolutions which were put to the meeting were duly passed.
The board briefed shareholders on Petrel's existing and prospective projects, including our exploration and development proposals to the Iraqi authorities, and ongoing discussions with Ghanaian officials about possible additional acreage.
Chairman David Horgan commented:
"The farm-out market for oil & gas projects remains subdued. But there has been strong demand growth for energy minerals. As shown in trade negotiations, economic powers are keen to secure sources and processing capacity of Critical Resource Minerals."
Since the 1990s, most discoveries have been achieved by junior explorers. This cycle seems to be repeating, as majors and NOCs retrench, leaving the upside to daring independents.
Petrel is considering expansion opportunities into energy minerals, for which there is market and government support - provided the projects come with satisfactory title, finance and meet governance standards."
No new price-sensitive information was shared as part of this briefing as compared to that disclosed in the Company's 2024 Annual Report, which is available on its website.
