Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— SW Umwelttechnik continues to expand: An increase in turnover of 150 million ATS for 1998 thanks to the acquisition of OMS Hungaria Kft. in Hungary Press information, 14 October 1998 Retroactively as of 13.10.1998 and subject to the approval of the bodies responsible, the listed company SW Umwelttechnik AG acquired 51% of the shares in OMS Hungaria Kft. in Tata, near Budapest, from RWE Umwelt AG. The company’s current management will retain 49% of the shares. With this acquisition the planned total turnover of the SW Umwelttechnik group will come to 530 million ATS (1996: 220 million ATS; 1997: 348 million ATS). OMS Hungaria is Hungary’s market leader in the sector of biological sewage plants, concentrating on engineering and system planning. This leads to important synergy effects with other companies belonging to the SW Umwelttechnik. By acquiring a majority interest in OMS, SW Umwelttechnik has strengthened its market position considerably. Not least because of ist striving to approach EU standards the Hungarian market has a backlog demand for intelligent environmental solutions SW Umwelttechnik will continue to adhere strictly to its strategic goal of growth through acquisitions.
