Net (Loss) Income Per Share
 
We calculate basic income (loss) per share by dividing net income (loss) by the weighted average number of common shares outstanding during the reporting period. Diluted income (loss) per share reflects the effects of potentially dilutive securities. Because we incurred net losses for the fiscal year ended January 31, 2016, basic and diluted loss per share were the same because the inclusion of 647,000, as of January 31, 2016, potential common shares related to outstanding stock awards in the calculation would have been antidilutive.
