Reference is made to today's stock exchange announcement regarding the private
placement of shares in Wentworth Resources Limited ("Wentworth" or the
"Company") raising gross proceeds of USD 7.6 million (GBP 4.9 million, NOK 59.7
million) through the issue of 15,412,269 new shares with institutional investors
and certain Directors and members of the Executive Management at a price of
31.5 pence per share (approximately NOK 3.9).
