The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– INCREASE OF EBIT AND SALES – EXPECTATIONS OF ANALYSTS HAVE BEEN EXCEEDED Linz, 19th March 2001: According to preliminary calculations, GERICOM AG (WKN 565 773), which is listed on the Neuer Markt, was able to increase its group sales of the year 2000 up to about 332 mill. Euro. The plan was a sales increase of 29 %, the actual growth compared to the previous year (235 mill. Euro) is about 41 %. According to preliminary calculations, the earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of the year 2000 amount to 14,8 mill. Euro. From 1999 (7,14 mill. Euro) to 2000, an increase of 80 % was planned. The actual increase in EBIT is about 107 %. The success can be mainly attributed to the increase of the sales accounted for by high-margin direct business with high-end products (notebooks) to industrial customers in several European countries. Because of this pleasant development, the payment of a dividend is planned. The final figures for fiscal year 2000 will be presented at the press and analyst conference on March 30th 2001.
