The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– GERICOM AG also in the second quarter above the planned figures – sales increase of more than 50% Linz, June 18, 2001: GERICOM AG, quoted on the New Market in Frankfurt (WKN 565773), continues to grow stronger than expected in the second quarter 2001. Thus, the turnover for the period of April to end of June, 2001, will be more than 50% above the figure of the comparable quarter in 2000. According to preliminary calculations, the turnover of the second quarter 2001 will amount to over EUR 100 m (second quarter 2000: EUR 65.7 m). In the second quarter 2000, 30,542 notebooks were sold. In the second quarter 2001, around 56,000 pieces are expected. Compared to the previous year’s period, orders have increased strongly. The present order backlog amounts to around 25,000 notebooks (previous year: around 12,000 pieces). About 10,000 notebooks of that figure will be delivered to non-German speaking countries (previous year: around 1,000 pieces). The MediaMarkt-Saturn-group alone has placed orders for around 4,500 notebooks in the calendar week 24. The present deliveries will go to supply major customers, predominantly in the sales countries Germany, England, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria and for the first time, Greece.
