The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– GERICOM again strongly grown in 2001 Linz, March 22, 2002: GERICOM, quoted on the Neuer Markt (WKN 565 773), has been growing strongly in turnover and results in the year 2001. Due to the strong demand for GERICOM-notebooks and the successful European expansion, the planned figures were exceeded by far. The turnover of the group increased up to a new record level of 539.9 mill. Euro. This represents a growth of 62.3%, compared to the year before (332.7 mill. Euro in 2000). Still more strongly grew the earnings before interest and taxes. The EBIT in 2001 amounted to 26.52 mill. Euro. This is a growth of 78.9%, compared to the EBIT of 14.83 mill. Euro of the year 2000. The EBIT-margin increased from 4.46% to 4.91%. The annual net income has been doubled from 9.21 mill. Euro to 18.45 mill. Euro. The profit per share has increased for 61%, from 1.05 Euro up to 1.69 Euro. As in the year before, it is planned to let GERICOM-shareholders participate on the success by the payment of a dividend. The Supervisory and Management Board will propose to the Annual General Meeting the increase of the dividend per share from EUR 0.42 (year 2000) to EUR 0.65. The annual report 2001 will be presented today in Frankfurt, at a balance presentation and analysts conference.
