Related Party Transactions	Related Party Transactions Prior to 2017, the Company purchased certain finished goods inventory components from a company that was partially owned by a family member of an individual serving on the Board of Directors. The purchases totaled approximately $10.3 million and $13.4 million in 2016 and 2015. This supplier was sold during 2016 to an unrelated company. Therefore, this related party relationship ended in mid-2016. The Company obtains quotes and purchases items from other vendors at prices that confirm that the Company obtains prices that are no less favorable than prices available from non-affiliated parties. Related party transactions are approved by the Audit Committee pursuant to Encore Wire Corporation’s Related Party Transactions Policy.
