The Board of Directors of CPH Group AG has appointed Dr. Alois Waldburg-Zeil to serve as the company’s new CEO and head of its Group Executive Board. He will assume his new duties on April 1, 2025. Dr. Waldburg-Zeil is presently head of the company’s Chemistry Division. He succeeds Peter Schildknecht, who served as CEO for the past 16 years.
Perlen, 19 February 2025 – As announced in January 2025, Dr. Peter Schildknecht is to step down as CEO of CPH Group AG – a position he has held for the past 16 years – to devote himself more to strategic tasks. The CPH Group AG Board of Directors has now appointed his successor: Dr. Alois Waldburg-Zeil, who presently heads the company’s Chemistry Division. Dr. Waldburg-Zeil will assume his new duties as CEO of CPH Group AG and head of its Group Executive Board effective April 1, 2025.
Alois Waldburg-Zeil, born in 1963, has led the Chemistry Division (Zeochem) since 2010, and was instrumental in its development over the past 15 years especially in the many important strategic steps it took to ensure its further success. Over this time, he further evolved Zeochem into a successful international company with its Molecular Sieves and Deuterated Products business units. Alois Waldburg-Zeil will assume his new duties as CEO of CPH Group AG while continuing to head the Zeochem Division. He will, however, pass on the leadership of its Molecular Sieves business unit to an in-house successor. CEO Dr. Schildknecht remains fully responsible for the CPH Group AG through the Annual General Meeting for the 2024 financial year. He will then step down at the end of March 2025, upon Dr. Waldburg-Zeil’s assumption of his new CEO role.
