Februar am Neuen Markt notiert, übernimmt mit Wirkung zum 1. Juli 2000 60% Anteile an der Kölner Peter Rieger Konzertagentur GmbH (PRK). “The Serious Art of Promotion”, so lautet der Slogan der PRK, die 1983 von Jutta Schremmer-Rieger und Peter Rieger in ihrer jetzt bestehenden Form gegründet wurde. Mit Professionalität in Organisation, Management und Vermarktung hat sich das Unternehmen aus kleinsten Anfängen im Jahre 1975 zu einer der drei größten Konzertagenturen im deutschsprachigen Raum entwickelt. Innerhalb weniger Wochen hat die CTS EVENTIM AG mit der PRK und der Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur GmbH zwei der größten und profiliertesten Tourneeveranstalter in Deutschland akquiriert. Phil Collins und die Gruppe Genesis vertrauen bei der Organisation und Durchführung ihrer Konzerte seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt der Peter Rieger Konzertagentur GmbH. Im Jahr 2000 werden bzw. wurden Elton John, Tina Turner, Maria Carey und viele weitere populäre Künstler der Pop- und Rockszene durch die PRK präsentiert. Zum erfolgreichen Programm der Agentur gehören außerdem Theaterproduktionen wie das poetische Variete “Flic Flac” von Andre Heller oder das “Variete Roncalli”, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zirkus Roncalli realisiert wurde. Aber nicht nur die etablierten Künstler werden von der PRK kompetent betreut: Für die innovativen Newcomer findet seit 1987 jährlich das “Bizarre Festival” statt, ein Event, auf dem populäre und weniger bekannte Rockbands auftreten. Im laufenden Geschäftsjahr 2000 plant die Peter Rieger Konzertagentur GmbH einen Umsatz von über 30 Mio. DM. Für die CTS EVENTIM AG ist der Kauf der PRK-Anteile ein weiterer wichtiger Schritt im Ausbau der Marktführerschaft. Neben Exklusivvereinbarungen für das Ticketing großer Veranstaltungen und Tourneen ergeben sich vielfältige Möglichkeiten z.B. beim Merchandising oder im Internet- Business, unter anderem bei der Live-Übertragung von Konzerten im World Wide Web. CTS hat sich damit und durch die Übernahme von 51% Anteile an der Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur GmbH eine hervorragende Marktposition in der europäischen Konzert- und Entertainmentbranche gesichert. The CTS EVENTIM AG, a leading enterprise in the sale of tickets for concerts, theatrical and sporting events and listed on the New Market since 1st February will be taking over a 60% share of the Peter Rieger Konzertagentur GmbH (PRK) in Cologne with effect from 1st July, 2000. “The Serious Art of Promotion”, this is the slogan of the PRK founded in 1983 by Jutta Schremmer-Rieger and Peter Rieger in its now existing form. With its professionality in organisation, management and marketing, the company developed completely from scratch in the year 1975 to become one of the three largest concert agency businesses in the German-speaking countries. Within just a few weeks, the CTS EVENTIM AG acquired two of the largest and most famous tour organisers in Germany, namely, the PRK and the Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur GmbH. Phil Collins and the group, Genesis, have entrusted the Peter Rieger Konzertagentur GmbH with the organisation and management of their concerts for over a decade. In 2000, Elton John, Tina Turner, Maria Carey and many other popular artists in the pop and rock scene will be, or already have been presented by the PRK. The Agency’s successful program also comprises threatrical productions such as the poetic variete “Flic Flac” by Andre Heller or the “Variete Roncalli”, that was performed in collaboration with the Roncalli Circus. However, the PRK not only cares competently for the needs of established artists. For the innovative newcomer the “Bizarre Festival” has been taking place annually since 1987 , an event where popular and less-known rock bands go on stage. In the current business year 2000 the Peter Rieger Konzertagentur GmbH is planning a turnover of over DM 30 million. For the CTS EVENTIM AG the purchase of shares in the PRK represents a further important step in expanding its market leadership. Besides exclusive ticketing agreements for large- scale events and tours there are numerous possibilities, e.g. in merchandising or in the Internet business and, amongst other things, in the live transmission of concerts in the World Wide Web. As a result of this, and also through the take- over of a 51% participation in the Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur GmbH, CTS has secured itself an excellent position on the market in the European concert and entertainment branch.
