Our company's subsidiary with 51% share, Defic Globe, signed a fraework agreement with a company developing solar power plant (SPP) projects in Romania for the transfer of shares in two subsidiaries (SPV) which havle solar power plant licenses with a total capacity of 195.8 MWp. The framework agreement will come into force if the Contract for Difference (CFD) tender—designed to support renewable energy investments in Romania—is won.
The CFD tender related to the aforementioned projects has been finalized in favor of the SPVs, and the process of transferring the shares to Defic Globe has begun. The transfer will be completed following approval from the Romanian Competition Authority.
Under the CFD mechanism, the electricity generated by the power plants will be sold at a EUR-based price for 15 years, and this guarantee significantly facilitates the financing of the investment and makes the project returns more predictable and secure.
Within the scope of the project, it is planned to establish solar power plants with a total capacity of 195.8 MWp, including 127.5 MWp in the Ricari region and 68.3 MWp in the Turceni region of Romania, with a total investment amount of EUR 149 million.
With this transfer, our SPP capacity in Romania has reached 893 MWp. Some of the projects in the portfolio are currently in operation, some are under construction, and others are in the development phase.
Our Company, which aims to reach 1 GW of installed capacity in the renewable energy sector by 2030, is pursuing this goal in various regions.
