Création Tapeten AG, Europe’s leading wallpaper manufacturer, has granted approval for the FY 2005 audited consolidated financial statements. According to the financial statements, Group sales were up 10.0% on the previous year’s € 132.1 million to € 145.3 million, while the Group’s net profit increased by 17.2% from the prior year’s € 6.6 million to € 7.7 million in fiscal 2005. The earnings per share amounted to € 2.78 (2004: € 2.37) This means that the final figures exceed the full-year guidance issued by the Managing Board of A.S. Création Tapeten AG on November 7, 2005 on the occasion of the publication of the interim report for the period ended September 30, 2005. At the time, the Managing Board expected a consolidated net profit of between € 7.0 and € 7.25 million for the full year 2005. The figures differ from the previous guidance mainly as a result of the unusually strong sales in the fourth quarter of 2005, which accounted for € 5.5 million of the full-year sales growth of € 13.2 million. This means that Q4 2005 sales were up 18.3% on the same period of the previous year. This increase in sales has led to better-than-expected earnings in fiscal 2005.
