For a long time, as a result of the Succession Principle implemented within the framework of the Human Resources Policy at Kale Group, our senior managers have been preparing for the next positions. As a matter of fact, we would like to share the reassignments  that will take place in accordance with this principle:

As of March 1, 2024, Mr. Kadri Tarık ÖZÇELİK, Vice President of Kale Group and Member of the Executive Board of the Holding, who has held important positions in the Kale Group for 35 years, including the last 10 years as Vice President of Kale Group (Production Systems and Operational Development), has voluntarily retired, and as of this date, Mr. Altuğ AKBAŞ, General Manager of Kaleseramik Çanakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi A.Ş., has been appointed to this position.

Our Vice President of Kale Group, Mr. AKBAŞ, has held important positions in Kale Group for 30 years, respectively, in our group companies; Kaledekor, Kalekim and Kaleseramik, and since 2019, he has been the General Manager of Kaleseramik Çanakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi A.Ş. and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of our Group companies; Kalenakliyat, Kalemaden and Kalefrit; and after handing over his duty as General Manager, he will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalemaden, Kalefrit and Kalenakliyat within Kale Holding under the auspices of Kale Group, and will continue to contribute as Vice President of Kale Group to the projects carried out in coordination under the supervision of Kale Holding.

As of March 1, 2024, Mr. AKBAŞ will hand over the position of General Manager of Kaleseramik Çanakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi A.Ş. to Mr. Timur KARAOĞLU, General Manager of Kalekim Kimyevi Maddeler Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

Our esteemed manager Mr.KARAOĞLU, who started his career in 2001 as Kalekim Product Supervisor at Kale Marketing, one of the Kale Group companies, and has been serving as the General Manager of Kalekim Kimyevi Maddeler Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. since 2019 and a Member of the Board of Directors of Kalekim Lyksor, one of our Group companies, will transfer his vast managerial experience to our entire Group as the General Manager of Kaleseramik Çanakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi A.Ş., and will hand over the position of General Manager of Kalekim Kimyevi Maddeler Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. to Mr. Murat GÖNÜLTAŞ, who has held important positions in Kalekim Kimyevi Maddeler Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. since 2000 and has performed very successfully as the Assistant General Manager in charge of Operations of Kalekim Kimyevi Maddeler Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. since 2019.

Mr. GÖNÜLTAŞ, the new General Manager of Kalekim Kimyevi Maddeler Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., has also made significant contributions to the realization of domestic and international investments, which are an important part of Kalekim business plans after the public offering, and to the formation of business plans in line with the new vision in order to make Kalekim one of the most valuable brands of our country.

While we wish happiness to our Vice President of Kale Group, Mr. ÖZÇELİK at this new beginning of his life, we congratulate all our managers who have assumed new responsibilities and wish these appointments to be beneficial for them, our Group, our investors and our country.

Who is Kadri Tarık Özçelik?

Born in 1962, Tarık Özçelik graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Industrial Engineering. Özçelik, who completed his master's degree in the same department, worked as a research assistant in the Department of Computer Engineering at Boğaziçi University. In 1988, he started to work as a programmer in the IT Department of Çanakkale Ceramic Factories and worked in the Production Planning department.

Between 1995 and 2001, Özçelik served as the General Manager of Kale Marketing, until 2004 he served as the Head of Marketing Group, between 2004 and 2013 as the President of the Ceramics Group, and then as the President of the Construction Group.

Since 2013, Özçelik has served as the Vice President in charge of Production Systems and Operational Development.

Who is Altuğ Akbaş?

Born in Istanbul in 1969, Altuğ Akbaş graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1992. In the same year, he entered Marmara University Business Administration Institute Program and started his career as a Production Planning Officer at Kale Marketing, one of the Kale Group Companies.

Until 2003, Akbaş worked as Planning Manager, Assistant Marketing Manager, Sales Manager and Marketing Coordinator at Kale Marketing, respectively. In 2003, he started to work as the Marketing Group Manager under the roof of Kaleseramik and continued until 2008, after which he assumed the position of General Manager within Kaledekor. In 2011, he started to work as the Assistant General Manager in charge of Sales and Marketing at Kalekim and became the General Manager in 2013. Altuğ Akbaş has continued to serve as the General Manager of Kaleseramik since 2019.

Who is Timur Karaoğlu?

He graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering in 1998. He completed his master's degree in Civil Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 2000.

Timur Karaoğlu started his career in 2001 as Kalekim Product Manager at Kale Marketing, one of the Kale Group companies. In 2007, he graduated from Istanbul Kültür University MBA program. He worked as an Assistant Sales Manager at Kale Marketing Company for 4 years. In February 2008, he started to work as Distribution Channel Sales Manager at Kaleseramik and continued until 2013. Until 2018, he served as Vice President of Retail Markets and Assistant General Manager of Domestic Sales and Marketing.

Timur Karaoğlu, who last served as the Assistant General Manager of Kalekim Sales and Marketing in February 2018, has continued to serve as the General Manager of Kalekim since October 21, 2019.

Who is Murat Gönültaş?

Murat Gönültaş graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Political Science and International Relations in 1999. In the same year, he started his career at Kalebodur Seramik A.Ş., one of the Kale Group companies, and continued his career in Kalekim since 2000. He started as an External Purchasing Officer at Kalekim, where he held the positions of Planning and Purchasing Chief, Planning and Purchasing Assistant Manager and Purchasing Manager, respectively.

Murat Gönültaş, who holds Sabancı University Leadership Development Program, EFQM Evaluator and 6 Sigma Green Belt certificates, has served as the Assistant General Manager in charge of Operations since February 2019.
