The TFI Board of Directors is responsible for defining the sustainability strategies of TFI TAB Foods Investments Inc. and its group companies. Within the scope of sustainability management, two main structures are in place: TFI Sustainability Coordination Board Atakey Sustainability Board The Atakey Board of Directors, through the Atakey Corporate Governance Committee, provides leadership in aligning the company's long-term value creation goals with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. The approval mechanism for processes is overseen by the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Atakey Board of Directors. The Atakey Sustainability Board has been established to work in alignment with the TFI Sustainability Coordination Board and focuses on operational processes and practices. Throughout the entire process, the TFI Sustainability Coordination Board guides and supports the Atakey Sustainability Board. The Atakey Sustainability Board includes an executive representative from the company to ensure effective decision-making and approval processes. Within the board, three dedicated working groups focus on environmental, social, and governance aspects, consisting of experts in these respective fields. The Atakey Sustainability Board convenes twice a year and reports its decisions and meeting outcomes to the TFI Sustainability Coordination Board. Atakey Patates establishes its sustainability strategies based on priority topics under the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) categories. In line with its short-term (2025–2026), medium-term (2027–2028), and long-term (2029–2030) strategic goals, the company has set comprehensive targets in key areas such as Integrated Sustainability Management System, Carbon Neutrality, Water Management, Waste Management and Circular Economy, Natural Resource Conservation, Sustainable Business Model, Sustainable Value Chain, and Employee Rights and Diversity. Within this framework, Atakey Patates has adopted a broad sustainability approach that encompasses the integrated management of environmental, quality, occupational health and safety, energy, water, and carbon management, as well as regenerative agriculture practices and local supplier collaborations. These targets and action plans, which have not yet been publicly disclosed, will be detailed in the 2024 Sustainability Report. In summary, in 2023, we formally submitted our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reduce our carbon footprint, and this commitment was approved in May 2023. Under our Emissions Reduction Policy, we have pledged to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% by 2030, in line with the 1.5°C global warming target, and Scope 3 emissions by 25%, in alignment with the goal of keeping global warming below 2°C, using 2022 as the base year.

As Atakey Patates, we are committed to environmental sustainability and biodiversity conservation. In 2021, we became a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), an international organization based in Malaysia. Through this membership, we support sustainable palm oil production by contributing to RSPO for every ton of palm oil we purchase. Additionally, to enhance our environmental responsibility and create social impact, we have partnered with the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV) on a project focused on the recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The revenue generated from this initiative is donated to TEGV to support educational programs. According to Atakey Patates' environmental data from 2021 to 2024, water consumption has increased by approximately 26%, reaching a total of 926,206 m³ in 2024. However, 60% of the water used is recycled, ensuring efficient water resource management despite increased production volumes. In waste management, the waste intensity per ton of production decreased by 27% from 0.78 tons/ton in 2021 to 0.57 tons/ton in 2023. However, due to increased production, it slightly rose to 0.62 tons/ton in 2024. This overall improvement is supported by effective waste segregation and a recycling rate exceeding 93%. Regarding renewable energy use, consumption increased significantly from approximately 24.7 million kWh in 2023 to 27.6 million kWh in 2024. These developments demonstrate Atakey Patates' commitment to efficient resource utilization and minimizing environmental impacts in line with its sustainability goals. As Atakey Patates, thanks to the energy efficiency projects we implemented in 2023—such as eliminating air leaks and insulating uninsulated pipelines—we achieved significant energy savings and emission reductions in both 2023 and 2024. A total of 528,108 kWh of energy was saved, with 387,257 kWh in 2023 and 140,851 kWh in 2024. By repairing compressed air leaks, we saved 138,091.2 kWh of electricity annually in 2023, while insulating uninsulated pipeline components created an infrastructure to save 19,159.68 Sm³ of natural gas per year. As a result, these projects led to a total annual reduction of 106.3 tons of CO₂ emissions. Additionally, in 2024, the energy requirement per ton of sold products and services decreased by 0.5‰ (0.05%) compared to 2023.
