New: Sunrise offers exclusive travel and cyber insurance to its existing customers

Our subscription customers can benefit from leading insurance services that are very hard to find anywhere else in this combination and with such attractive terms. For some time now, Sunrise has been supplementing its telecommunications products with extra offers like payment services ( Sunrise Pay ), cybersecurity products ( Sunrise Protect ) and Device-as-a-Service ( Smart Upgrade , Flex Upgrade ). These extra services give Sunrise customers exclusive benefits that are not available anywhere else. Travel and cyber insurance policies are the latest addition to the portfolio.
Ideal travel insurance for the summer holidays
The Swiss are world champions when it comes to travel. Around 90% of the population make at least one trip involving an overnight stay each year, with the average person making around three trips. Two-thirds of these trips are abroad. Wherever Sunrise customers are in the world, Sunrise keeps them connected via mobile, Internet and TV. Sunrise now not only supports its customers with communication services, but also with comprehensive travel insurance.
Sunrise travel insurance offers comprehensive travel protection, including cover for trip cancellation costs, 24/7 emergency assistance, medical assistance abroad and repatriation to Switzerland, legal protection in the event of travel problems, loss of or damage to luggage, unlimited roadside assistance, excess reduction for rental cars, costs incurred due to breakdowns and delays to public transport, and refunds on tickets for events bought in connection with a trip.
Sunrise travel insurance can be arranged for a month or for a whole year and, depending on the insurance cover chosen, costs from CHF 29/month or CHF 78/year, which amounts to a monthly cost of CHF 6.50.
Cyber insurance for daily trips to the digital world
Digital life is as real today as life offline and it comes with risks too. In the last twelve months, almost 60,000 cyber incidents have been reported to Switzerland’s National Cyber Security Centre . Credit and debit cards can be stolen and misused just like data, and blocked information can be used for extortion. Phishing, online fraud, identity theft and cyber bullying are also real threats and can affect even the most careful customers. Sunrise cyber insurance covers these risks and supports customers if they need to make a claim by providing legal and psychological support. Sunrise cyber insurance costs CHF 78/year, which amounts to a monthly cost of CHF 6.50. The cyber insurance covers everyone living in the same household.
Collaboration with experts
Sunrise is collaborating with Toni Digital Insurance Solutions AG and insurance companies TAS Versicherungen AG and Assista Rechtsschutz AG to provide the new insurance offers. While Sunrise acts as the insurance broker, Toni Digital Insurance is the integrator and specialist in establishing the structures, taking responsibility for portfolio management and customer support, and is the dedicated point of contact for Sunrise customers. The insurers and insurance contractual partners for customers are TAS Versicherungen AG for the travel and cyber insurance and Assista Rechtsschutz AG for the legal-protection insurance. This means that Sunrise customers can contact recognised experts who are always on hand for advice and to handle claims.
