Release of an ad hoc announcement pursuant to Art. 53 KR

Write-off of the investment in Solar Industries AG
An internal analysis of New Value regarding the situation of Solar
Industries AG and its participations indicates that presumably liquid
assets amounting to over CHF 10 Mio. have been invested in insecure
vehicles by the former Chairman.
Zurich, 5 April 2012 - The findings of the internal analysis of New Value
and clear parallels to the situation at Solar Industries brings New Value
to implement this step. According to the judgement of New Value, these
insecure investments of the liquid assets of Solar Industries (in
'Marketable Securities') of over CHF 10 Mio. have led to a liquidity
shortage. These investments were made by the former Chairman of New Value
as well as Solar Industries - Rolf Wägli.
On this basis, New Value AG has decided to write off the whole investment
in Solar Industries. The write-off amounts to CHF 11.7 Mio.
