Inventory by category consisted of the following:

Inventory write-downs, recognized as a part of cost of sales, were $358 and $560 for the second quarter of fiscal 2012 and second quarter of fiscal 2011, respectively, and $396 and $694 for the first half of fiscal 2012 and first half of fiscal 2011, respectively.
